Board Members

The Long Term Care Educators Association (LTCEA) is excited to introduce you to the new officers for 2017. The Long Term Care Educators Association has spent 30 years supporting educators, directors of nursing, and administrators in long-term care. With the introduction of new officers, the LTCEA will be taking a short break in order to regroup and plan the future of the group. We will resume in June with an educational event, and from there we will have quarterly educational opportunities.

Bernice Bundren, President 

Bernice Bundren graduated from Missouri Baptist School of Nursing in 1984. Ms. Bundren started a short career working in the hospital but after 2 years started working in long term care and fell in love with the elderly population! Ms. Bundren received her Bachelors degree in Gerontology from Lindenwood University in 2009. Most of her career was spent as the the Director of Nursing at two local long term care communities.

Shona McIntyre, Secretary

Shona McIntyre is a native of Springfield, Missouri where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Missouri State University. Her passion of working with seniors, and her ability to build strong business-to-business relationships has brought her to St. Louis area where she is the Regional Outreach Sales Specialist to 5 St. Louis Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living Communities owned and operated by Spectrum Retirement Communities. Ms. McIntyre facilitates strong relationships in the local community and is a valuable resource of information for other professionals in the healthcare industry, and the population of seniors she serves.

Denny Pezzani, Treasurer 

Denny Pezzani received his pharmacy degree from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Mr. Pezzani has been a registered pharmacist (RPh) for 49 years and spend 40 years with Walgreen Drug Company. After his retirement he formulated a training program for Pharmacy Technicians at St. Charles Community College. In recent years he has become certified as a Pharmacy Regulation Specialist (PRS) and has completed the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) course. He has contributed to three drug textbooks for nurses, and has served on several national panels evaluating Pharmacy Technician requirements and duties.

Sue Propper, BSN. Resource Librarian 

Ms. Propper is the Coordinator of Health Occupations at St. Charles Community College. She has extensive experience in long-term care and has taught both the CNA and CMT classes in the community setting, as well as at the community college

Sheri Clayton, Merchandise Coordinator 

Ms. Clayton has worked as a RN for 49 years in several areas of nursing. She has been an educator for over 30 years and is currently a CNA, CMT, INSULIN ADMIN. instructor at St. Charles Community College and a medical staff nurse at Barnes-Jewish St. Peter's hospital.
